Safari Overview

The 8 Days Uganda Safari is a comprehensive wildlife adventure covering Uganda's top destinations. Trek chimpanzees in Kibale, go on a game drive and boat safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, meet mountain gorillas in Bwindi, and enjoy nature walks and cultural experiences along the way.

Safari Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival: Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park

• Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
• Meet your professional safari guide
• Drive to Kibale Forest National Park (approx. 5–6 hours)
• En-route: Scenic countryside, tea plantations, and crater lakes region
• Check-in at lodge, relax, and briefing about chimpanzee trekking
• Meals: Dinner

Day 2 – Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

• Early breakfast
• Transfer to park headquarters for briefing
• Chimpanzee trekking with experienced rangers (Permit: $250 per person)
• Spot other primates: Red colobus, Black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest monkeys, Grey-cheeked mangabeys
• Lunch at lodge
• Visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for monkeys, birds, and cultural experiences
• Dinner and overnight at lodge

Day 3 – Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

• Breakfast at lodge
• Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
• Short game drive and boat safari on Kazinga Channel: hippos, elephants, buffalo, crocodiles
• Optional Ishasha sector stop for tree-climbing lions
• Check-in at lodge and dinner
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

• Morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains to spot lions, elephants, buffalo, and Uganda kobs
• Lunch at lodge
• Afternoon boat safari on Kazinga Channel for hippos, crocodiles, and birdwatching
• Dinner and overnight at lodge

Day 5 – Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

• Breakfast at lodge
• Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
• Optional stop at Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions
• Check-in at lodge, dinner, and overnight stay
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

• Breakfast at lodge
• Transfer to park headquarters for gorilla trekking (Permit: $800 per person)
• Hike through rainforest to find a gorilla family; spend 1 hour observing them
• Return to lodge for lunch and optional Batwa community visit
• Campfire, dinner, and overnight stay

Day 7 – Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

• Breakfast at lodge
• Drive to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and scenic views
• Optional canoeing, birdwatching, and community visit on the islands
• Check-in at lodge, dinner, and overnight stay
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8 – Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe / Departure

• Breakfast at lodge
• Drive back to Entebbe with stops along the way (Equator monument, craft markets, lunch in Mbarara)
• Arrival at Entebbe and airport drop-off for departure
