Safari Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival: Entebbe

• Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
• Meet your professional safari guide
• Transfer to hotel in Kampala for overnight stay
• Meals: Dinner

Day 2 – Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park

• Drive to Kibale Forest NP (approx. 5–6 hours)
• En-route views of crater lakes, tea plantations, and rolling hills
• Check-in at lodge and briefing about chimpanzee trekking
• Meals: Dinner

Day 3 – Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

• Early breakfast and briefing at park headquarters
• Chimpanzee trekking experience with rangers (Permit: $250 per person)
• Other primates: Red colobus, Black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest monkeys, Grey-cheeked mangabeys
• Afternoon Bigodi Wetland Walk: birds, monkeys, and cultural community experience
• Dinner and overnight at lodge

Day 4 – Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

• Breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth NP
• Optional stop in crater lakes region
• Check-in at lodge and dinner

Day 5 – Queen Elizabeth: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

• Morning game drive in Kasenyi plains: lions, elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs
• Lunch at lodge
• Afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel to view hippos, crocodiles, and birds
• Dinner and overnight at lodge

Day 6 – Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

• Breakfast and drive to Bwindi
• Optional stop at Ishasha sector to see tree-climbing lions
• Check-in at lodge, dinner, and overnight stay
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 7 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

• Breakfast and transfer to park headquarters for gorilla trekking (Permit: $800 per person)
• Hike through rainforest to find gorilla family; spend 1 hour observing
• Return to lodge, optional Batwa community visit
• Dinner and overnight stay

Day 8 – Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

• Breakfast and drive to Lake Bunyonyi
• Optional canoeing, island visits, and birdwatching

Day 9 – Lake Bunyonyi to Murchison Falls NP

Day 10 – Murchison Falls: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

• Morning game drive: elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, Uganda kobs

• Afternoon Nile boat cruise to base of Murchison Falls for hippos, crocodiles, and birds
• Dinner and overnight at lodge

Day 11 – Murchison Falls Hike & Transfer to Kidepo Valley NP

• Hike to the top of Murchison Falls
• Long scenic drive to Kidepo Valley NP
• Check-in at lodge or camp, dinner, overnight stay

Day 12-13 – Kidepo Valley NP Game Drives

• Morning and afternoon game drives in Kidepo Valley NP
• Wildlife: lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hyenas
• Optional cultural visits to local Karamojong villages
• Dinner and overnight at lodge or tented camp

Day 14 – Kidepo to Lake Mburo NP

• Breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo National Park
• Check-in at lodge/camp
• Evening game drive or walking safari

Day 15 – Lake Mburo: Game Drives & Wildlife Photography

• Morning and afternoon game drives

Day 16-18 – Lake Mburo to Sipi Falls / Mount Elgon Region

• Drive to Sipi Falls / Mount Elgon region

Day 19 – Sipi Falls / Mount Elgon to Kampala

• Drive back to Kampala with lunch stops
